Lately it seems like when I update Lightburn on my Mac mini the Lightburn window is taller than my screen and so the layers (color blocks) are off the bottom so I can’t see/use them. Last time I got lucky just messing about and it popped to the proper size but I don’t know how I did that.
I just did the last update and I can’t get to the bottom of the window again. Now normally on Mac you can resize a window in any direction by grabbing and dragging any one of the 4 corners but for some reason Lightburn does allow this with the top 2 corners and since I cannot get to the bottom 2 (as they are off screen) I have no way to scale the window down.
This basically makes Lightburn unusable at the moment and so I need to fix this right away (I have projects to do).
The Mac mini(s)(I have 2 for 2 lasers) are running Big Sur OS as they are older machines and that is the latest OS that runs natively.
So, how can I scale the Lightburn window down so it fits on the screen again?
OK, tried double clicking the top of the window as suggested in other threads with no luck, did the reset to default layout (no luck) then double clicked the top window again and it worked. So I am back in business but it’s odd that this weird combo is required on every update. Sounds like something that should be fixed in the program.
1080p but tried also at the only other 2 that were available (sorry forget what they are). Now, I use Macs scaled resolution as my eyesight is not what it use to be and this makes everything a bit bigger, mostly fonts and icons and this might be the issue but I just can’t see well enough on a little 19" monitor to work without it.
I think you might have found your answer. Try turning off scaled resolution and see if that solves your issue. If it does, then you need to purchase a larger monitor that you can see. Fortunately monitors are much cheaper than they used to be and you can get a 27" monitor for under $100.
