MacBook Air OSX 10.11.6 won’t connect to MakerBase MKS-DLC V2.0 controller board

My MacBook pro won’t connect to the board. It seems the FTDI is not loading.

Went through the whole process of uninstalling FTDIUSBSerialDriver but still no luck. I can however now communicate with an Arduino Uno board.

Does the MakerBase board use an FTDI chip, or the CH340 that’s common in clones?
