hello please someone help me. I already have a neje 3 pro a40640 laser and i have problem with connection. When the air compressor turns on, the laser disconected and stucks at one point and keep burning. can someone give me some solutions?thanks a lot
Put your compressor on a different circuit.
i already do it also i make a ground connection and nothing change
Next step would be to get a better quality (shielded) USB cable, the ones supplied with machines are notoriously low quality and susceptible to interferance.
If youmean type a to type b i already use a usb 3.0 and nothing change
Are you using a ferrite core USB cable?
No, the laser are connected on usb hub 3.0 with mouse and the camera. I use them on laptop. But i connect separately the machine and laptop and its not change. I think maybe its electromagnetic problem because i have the air compressor under the table which on the laser.
But i also have an external ferrite core can i connest it to the usb hub, or on the cable wich goes to the machine?
Laser should connect direct to laser, a hub can work but is a possible point of failure, there are low quality usb 3 cables but fortunately fewer than usb 2, get the best cable your budget can afford. The electromagnetic problem is usually eliminated in most cases by a better quality usb cable.
Can you please suggest me a what standards need usb
cable don’t worry about money
StarTech make some good quality cables.
You might want to validate if its not a power issue
If you are having electronic noise or similar, machine will halt no matter what power you are requesting
However if it is a power delivery issue it might be harder to diagnose.
Therefore, to remove variables do this
a) unplug the cable that goes to your laser head
b) run the same or a long job that often fails
c) it wont engrave, but will go through all motions, you might need to run it a few times. should be safe tl eave unattended as no laser is conncted
so now question is
DOES it also fail? if yes then for sure is a envorioment issue
You coudl validate this test by moving machine elsewhere and rerun the above test.
Does it NOT fail?
Then is more likely a power issue. Try running job at 1% power.
If it does not fail there is better to replace, or upgrade your power adapter.
Brother thanks for your interest but look when i connect the laser with laptop the green light on laser board was turning on which that means its connected via usb ok? When i turning on the air compressor the green light on the laser board was turning off and turning on again and laptop make the sound of connect and disconect. This i check it out without connecting to the laser module. Only motions.
And the laser stuck at one point and burning but some times turns back home
this seems to imply your compressor starting/Stoping is creating such a spike on electrical noise that your controller restarts.
if this is true, you might need some serious shielded usb cables and maybe a power rectifier.
Easy to test though, run a few jobs compressorless and you should have not a single failure
I already have a ups and a voltage Stabilizator which is connect only the laser and laptop to avoid connect them with th compressor
the EM pulse might be. Induced in the USB cable, not necessarily through the physical line.
I would really go through some validation, is a bit annoying but the best way
a) using a power cord try to put the compressor in a physically different line in your breaker box
b) try to get a much better usb cable
c) if new cable not available, put some distance from you to compressor. if you have laptop, you can just move machine away some as an experiment. IF its a pulse caught by the usb cable, distance will change behaviour
These are very tricky issues to diagnose right
I work with 2 compressors one 800w and one 75w for airbrushing. And only the little one make me the problem. The big one not Often do this
The compressors ard right under the table which is the laser
seems you pretty much reduced down the potential culprits
I would imagine the smaller compresser might be less expensive, therefroe very little to no effort was done on its design to limit em pulses at start/Stop (common)
I would use distance and usb shielding to try to fix it
Distance might be the simplest diagnostic step
