Machine protect, file paused

Hello, I have a Chinese K50 with Ruida and I am using lightburn version 10.06. I engraved and cut with no problem until I installed the rotary.
the next day when i took it off the laser went all over the place making a crazy noise and banging out of its area.
I unplugged everything and plugged it back in the next day and it doesn’t do it anymore …
the current problem is now a “machine busy file paused” problem
I think I have tried everything but impossible to just make a pulse with the laser even without plugging in the laptop.
Connected lightburn recognizes the laser well, it does the home well and it does the framing but does not want to burn because “file paused” displayed on the ruida
impossible to do anything.
Can you help me solve this problem?
Thanks

Sorry, I don’t do much but English. The last photo appears to be a protection error. Can’t make out the rest of it…

:smiley_cat:

1st photo: There was a problem sending data to the laser. the machine may be busy or paused
2nd photo: by double clicking on the file you have access to its parameters
3rd photo: Protected machine, click escape

Thanks…

If it’s in some kind of protection mode, it probably will not fire from the console or via any software.

I haven’t seen that message, so I’m at kind of a loss as to what to tell you. Need to find what ‘machine protection’ is and/or how it’s triggered.

I have no idea and I cannot delete this state … is it possible to reset the memory of the ruida to zero? this should solve the problem in principle

I found this in LightBurn troubleshooting guide Ruida errors - LightBurn Software Documentation.

Machine is busy or paused

  • This can happen for a number of reasons, all stemming from a lack of communication between the controller and the software. LightBurn will show this error if it the laser is currently busy and not accepting commands, or in some cases if it wasn’t able to communicate with the laser at all. Check that there is not an error displayed on the controller screen, and that LightBurn is actually connected to the controller. You can verify (or reset) the connection by right-clicking the ‘Devices’ button. You should see ‘Found RDC644xG’ (or whatever type of controller you have) in the center of the status bar below the main window.

I don’t know if this applies to you since you’re able to use the move keys… But have you tried right-clicking on Devices to see if you can rest the connection?

The LAST thing you want to do is reset the Ruida. If you don’t now have a backup of the configuration, you had better save one. Ruida is a ‘generic’ controller and much of the information in them is vendor specific a reset will loose that information and probably make the machine un-usable.

I’s more likely something is triggering that condition. Want to find the problem, not override the systems that protect your machine from damage.

Check the connections to the Ruida and see if there is a loose wire or some other mechanical problem.

It would be nice to run down what exactly that error message refers. That will probably

There is an error there…

Well the problem is solved, as very often it is stupidity that can cause you to pull out half of your hair, in this case it was quite simply the hood connector from which 1 wire was disconnected and which put the machine in protection, the laser restarts normally … That does not prevent that there was nevertheless another problem when the head of the laser hit on the bodywork making a brief hellish noise for the moment it restarts. Thank you for the help given and a happy new year to al
