Machine won’t show up in lightburn

I am trying to set up my 20 W machine on a new to me laptop running Windows 11. I have previously had success getting LightBurn to detect my old Mac but now I cannot get it to detect my new laptop. I have installed the drivers so it has the grbl data in the program but the usb connection option under the (choose) drop down box won’t come up on LightBurn. The usb port doesn’t seem to be the issue as a usb stick worked in them all, additionally, when I plug the cable from the laser into my pc it makes a noise indicating it’s detected it.

I am using a 20W elegoo Phecda laser btw. Forgot to mention that above

I am at a total loss right now.

You need to install the CH340 driver first. Then check the Windows device manager if the device is listed under COM ports. Then you can check in LB.

Tried to do that but it throws an error when trying to install the Ch340

You may have to install it using Administrator rights.

Then you need to fix that. Without a driver, you can’t connect the laser.
