I have a fox alien 4040-xe CNC machine with the 40w laser. I got it setup and I can do a laser fire but when the machine homes (bottom left) it’s showing negative coordinates for position and the laser is way off grid. I’ve been searching for a few hours now and im not getting any further. Would appreciate any help that can be given.

That defintely got me closer. So now would I just move it over the red square here and get values again then same command to make it so laser actually lands on that red square?
I should have thought about this before. Since its normally a CNC machine the home position actually puts the laser outside the field cause of how its mounted. I just moved it to the correct “Home” position with the laser in the bottom left corner of my honeycomb. Here is what i’ve got now.
Absolute Coords for this. That red square is where the Home position is located according to Lightburn. It is up to you to move the your fixture or honeycomb to match.
Here is a trick I use. Move the laser (Fire button) to the corner of my 12"x12" board… then I click on the Show Last Position button in the laser window until I see the little red cross. Then I drag the entire drawing over to match the reference corner (like the black box in your image). What I have done is aligned the bounding box around the parts with the position of the laser.
On one of my lasers, the honeycomb is not keyed in position, so I use this method a lot on that machine.
There are several ways to align the laser, drawing, and material. Mine is just one of them. Experiment!
