I’d like to rotate the rotary axis on my galvo between runs.
Here’s what I’m doing that would make that convenient.
I’m marking a tool (about the diameter of a standard pencil). Two lines of text, 180 degrees apart.
I’m using cylinder correction, not actual rotary as the text is not tall enough to make it necessary.
What I’d like to do is mark one line of text, then manually move the rotary axis 180 deg. and mark the second line…and repeat this for several parts.
Is there a way to do this? Perhaps I’ve missed it, but when I add the “move” tab - it’s not active.
Thanks for any insight, help, or confirmation that this currently isn’t possible.
I make a frame the size of the whole printable area on the mug, with a graphic on one side and an open block for text on the other end. I put another frame on the center of the text block that works out to 180 degrees from the center of the image.
Does that sound like something that would work for you? I use a diode rotary, so it may not 100% translate. Rough estimate can be made by counting the blocks between the image and the name and then comparing to the number of blocks from the edges of the frame to the image and name block.
That would work and indeed I have considered this approach.
I prefer to use the cylinder correction feature rather than rotating the part during marking. Perhaps I just need to get better at using the rotary proper.
If nothing else presents itself as a solution, I’ll make a go at this.
