Marco to snap fiels inside the lightburn workspace

Hi there,

On my laserbed i have set potitions where i place the workpieces in to be engraved. Then I import files into lightburn and snap them into position with the built in snap feature (top left, bottom left etc etc). However I have many more positions that are not the built in ones. I have to input these manually via the x and y coridinates.

Does anyone know if it possible to program these in somehow so i can call upon then with one button? And then even better that i could assign these coridinates with an Elgato strem deck. this would save me so much time.

Thanks

Gil

You can program macros Macros Window - LightBurn Documentation

Thanks Colin.

Thats more about laser positioning and isnt what im looking for. I dont think that helps me move artwork within the workspace?

Ah, I misunderstood.

In that case, this page describes the extend of the move-to-selection options Move Selected Objects - LightBurn Documentation

You could use ‘move to laser selection’ but that doesn’t help for offline designing, unfortunately. I’d suggest making a Fider request for that as a feature.

Perhaps you can set up a template with targets on a Tool Layer at all the positions you need, then save it as a lbrn2 file or in the Art Library.

You can then:

  • Import a design
  • Shift-select a target
  • Click Align Centers to snap the design to the target

Maybe import the work coords of millmage. G53/G54/…. We kinda do the same with print&cut
