Marks from reflection of honeycomb bed

Hi all,

I’m working with an OMTech 80w laser and having some problems with the marks coming from the reflection on the honeycomb bed. Do you have any tips on how to prevent this from happing? I already use pieces of acrylic to raise the material from the bed, but this doesn’t seem to help.

There aren’t really a lot of options here:

  1. don’t use a honeycomb bed
  2. farther elevate the material from the bed

I found honeycomb not what I had imagined… I hope you have a CO2 extinguisher…

If the focus is on the acrylic, it will be going out of focus when it hits the honeycomb and continue to get larger with less power…

Your only options I can see, seem to be aligned with @berainlb comments …
