Masking question

Is it possible with the new masking feature to create text on top of a photo and then be able to mask/cut the text shape leaving the rest of the photo intact? I know you can do the reverse, but I would just like to mask out the text.

Yep - you just have to add a little more to it - make a rectangle on the same layer you are using for the mask that is a bit larger than the image. Group that rectangle with the text and then apply that group as a mask to the image.

Just remember that masking works on the same logic we use for “Fill” shapes in terms of which parts are filled and which are not. Anything that would be filled will contain the image.

Worked perfectly. Thank you for the quick reply. This software and the support is just unbelievable!
