Masuter pro not homing in correct position

Hi all

Relative newbie to all this stuff. Had some great successes and wonderful help from the peeps on here. However, a new problem has reared its ugly head, which after much playing around with, I cannot fix.
For reasons unknown, my FoxAlien Masuter Pro has started homing in the top right corner. I reset the job origin to the bottom left but this makes the machine go haywire and try to go off the rack with much grinding and shuddering.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction please?
Many thanks
Hawk

Hey Hawk
No expert here but just checking you are in ‘Absolute Coordinate’ while origin set to bottom left…and trying to Home.

Hi Pete,

Yep, tried that, user co-ordinates too and still no joy. Have even tried detaching from the computer and using the offline GRBL controller, but still no joy.

I looked through previous posts for Fox Alien and coordinate issues, You might want to have a look through/search Doc’s and previous posts yourself and see if anything clues you in.

There were some comments about CNC selection button and one about reinstalling drivers but Im no expert there and dont want to dig you in deeper. If you see comments asking for settings etc you can gather those and post them…it’ll make things happen quicker.

I’m sure you’ll get a fix to this once someone with experience spots the post..In the meantime I put up a link to Melvins wiki article on coordinates.

Are you getting any Error messages or relevant info on the console.

I’ve just had Fox Alien get in touch. Apparently, many of their customers are having the same issues as me since Lightburn upgraded recently to v 2.0.02. They’ve asked me to contact Lightburn to ask the a downgrade to the previous version and see if that fixes things.

Thanks for your help

Well thats not so bad, its a relief to find a possible cause when everything appears correct but somehow isn’t.
Hope the switch to other version works out.
