Ok. . . I had to prove to myself I’m not totally nuts!
One by one I loaded up all my graphic and cad programs and when I entered 2 - 1/2, they all returned 1.5
Then I dug up an old laptop that has Windows 93 installed on it. (Surprised that I got it to fire up). . . and booted Corel Draw 1 (Yes that’s right #1) which was released in 1989. I inserted 2 - 1/2 as a dimension and it returned 1.5.
How the heck did I miss this for 3+ decades!
Why didn’t anybody ever tell me this!
It was like first learning for the first time “The Meaning Of Computers!”
Holy Crap Batman!
At least on the plus side after all those years I got really good at converting fractions into decimals in my head faster than one can do it on a calculator.
BTW, my wife is now totally convinced that I am completely nuts.
