Material Test Generator max Speed limited to 10000mm/sec

I got a FiberLaser 50W for testing. I am evaluating LightBurn and tried the Material Test Generator from LightBurn V 1.7.06.
My machine can handle speed up to 15000mm/sec. I can configure this speed in the Cuts/Layers. But i can’t set the speed higher than 10000mm/sec in the material test generator.
Is there a hidden limit or any additional setting which i need to set?

The device settings are correct and the max speed is set to 15000mm/sec there.

Thanks.

Where in the device settings are you doing this?

The values in Device Settings → Additional Settings are for the preview emulator speeds, acceleration and aren’t applied to the machines controller.

I have never known where these limits are set or if the user can limit it somewhere. You can with other machines.

Maybe @Rick can answer this …

Hi

i set it in the Galvo and Basic settings.

This setting is also the limitation for the Layer definition. If it set to 15000mm/sec than you can’t set a speed higher than 15000mm/sec for the layer/cut.

Great, I know I looked for that in the device settings, but couldn’t locate it. I have a relatively slow galvo, so I’ve check mine and it’s set for 7000mm/s, I lowered to to 5000mm/s to match the galvo specification that I got from Cloudray.

One of the Lightburn people would need to answer you about this as they know the internals.

Maybe @Rick can give us a hand?

Hello Schorschl

Reported internally and our Lead Developer applied a patch to adjust this limitation in the upcoming 2.0 version.

Thank you for reporting!
