Material Test seems not working correctly

I’m running the material test , ( LightBurn 1.4.00, built Mi 2023-04-26 @ 17:45 ) and i’m very unhappy with the results i used the defoults generated and it cuts only one piece the one with 600mm/m and 100%
but the label was cuted through
i did look for parameters to play with, and found that on the settings it was set to 50% of power not recognized that this belongs to the label only . So i changed that value to 100% and run the test again
instead of now burning the wood the laser was on the lowest level to whrite the labels nothing was on the wood to see.
and the cutting was only done as before

any help would be greatly appricated

You’re discovering what the Material Test is all about: finding the correct parameters for your laser and your material.

The default text settings aren’t right for anybody’s laser on any particular material, so you must tune them based on your initial results. For the first tweak, pick whatever speed & power produced the squares in the middle of the pattern: dark enough to be readable, but not burning through.

Once you’ve found nice cut settings for that sheet of plywood (?), you’ll discover they’re wrong for paper, MDF, acrylic, Corian, cardboard, and a different batch of plywood. Test those materials, adjust as necessary, and use those settings for your actual projects.

Enter the results in the Material Library as go and, before long, you’ll have all the settings for whatever you need:

That’s pretty much how it works!

Something else is going on, when I generate a material test I get labels along the X and Y axis of the factors of the 2 variables being tested, and a legend of the fixed parameters. I see Interval and passes at the top, but no power or speed. I am using a galvo, so if legends are a galvo only feature pardon the interruption

Beyond my experience, but galvo lasers definitely have a whole bunch of “different” things going on.
