"mensch ärgere dich nicht" also known as "ludo" or "sorry" or "aggravation"

UK: Ludo - Wikipedia
USA: Aggravation (board game) - Wikipedia

For this game, I chose a solution with two boards, firstly because I don’t have to be so careful where I apply the paint, and secondly because it is a help for the elderly or sick (for example Parkinson’s) to position the figures

  1. open first file
  2. adjust power and speed to suit your laser and material, use draw and cut layers, fill makes no sense here
  3. burn the first board,
  4. apply colors e.g. acrylic paint (foto)
  5. open second file
  6. adjust power and speed to suit your laser and material, engrave (= fill-layer) and cut second board; draw makes no sense here
  7. burn the second board
  8. glue second on first bord
  9. turn figures
  10. play an have fun

P.S.: In case I forgot to mention it: lightburn is a damn good software and I have a lot of fun working with it
P.P.S.: Did anyone guess that I used to be a teacher until I retired? LOL

Nice project!
I also did such a game field once, it can be downloaded here: LightBurn Projects / Files - Diode Laser Wiki

Occasionally, you can get 33 cm slate coasters at Aldi, which are really great for such boards (Harry Potter edition in this case):
