MillMage and importing from exterior vector programs

I am hoping I will be able to import vector artwork from exterior programs to MillMage and I was wondering if that will be possible? I currently have Affinity Designer 2 and Inkscape- I am a graphic designer and they are easy for me to use. Or will it be better to do all the vector work in MillMage, when it comes out? Will MillMage be able to have layers like in a design program so I can import photos of my drawings, lock them and then use them as templates? Sorry if this seems like a very silly basic question but I am new to cncing.

I suspect that the CAD will be the same as Lightburn.

Yes, you can import artwork into MillMage. .ai is preferred first DXF second. For your images as a template, yes. Lock selected shapes.
