I have read the manual, but am not able to perform the “Mirror” function. when i select Alt M, the measurement feature pops up. Would someone please tell me what my thick head is missing?
Clicking the icon works for me however I get the measurement tool using hot keys as well. Perhaps something to do with when they added the measure tool.
ETA: Looking at the Hotkey Editor the tool tip is incorrect for that function. In the Hotkey editor the shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+M. That should get you going.
Humpty, thanks for the quick response. I don’t get the icon to light up. ( am not in beginner mode)Would you be willing to send a quick image of what your result looks like? I’ll keep trying to get it to work.
The tool your asking about is to mirror an object opposite a line. So you have to select your object then select the line you want to mirror to the other side of then select the “Mirror the current selection across a line” tool. It will not be available until you have the object and the line selected.
If you just want to mirror horizontally or vertically the two icons next to the one being discussed will do that.
