I have seem to lost my selection box in settings for constant power mode ? Its used for cutting and would be nice to know more about it ? I would thank you ! For any help !
Can you provide the following?
- screenshot of your Cut settings window?
- push Devices button in Laser window. Then click once on the name of your laser. Then take a screenshot.
I might be mistaken, but I though constant power mode was set in the layer?
This is where you would normally find the setting. Is this where you’ve been looking?
If the setting is not there, then you’re likely configured for the wrong device type. The second screenshot I asked for would have shown that.
Push the Devices button in Laser window.
Then click once on the name of your laser.
Take a screenshot there please.
Not in office for awhile but it shows it check off with auto and then shows my laser in first attachment in this but I will do what your askingasap
This indicates that you are configured for “GRBL-LPC” rather than “GRBL”.
Push “Edit” from that window. On the next screen select “GRBL” as the device type, then click Next until you are finished with the process.
You should now have access to “Constant Power”.
Ok seems to work but one question I remember seeing it when I first used my laser with the promo offer or trial version. Do you think when I purchase the software after my trial run was over that option change or something ? Also looks like I need to be connected to my laser when I do this I have done it in my office but will be connecting to my laser and do it again if necessary it said to connect to restart or something… Thanks for time and help… Also you need to know your working size 400 x 400 that’s something I need to verify too…
No, trial and full license are the same software, just with different license type. If you recreated the device it’s possible the wrong device type was detected or chosen.
Actually no, you needn’t be connected. The device configuration is independent of the connection.
I can’t tell if you’re asking something or telling something. Are you wanting to confirm the size of your laser?
If you indeed have the Laser Master 2 Pro this should be correct. I believe it’s possible with a larger laser module that you may lose some usable space but not sure if that’s applicable to you.
No I have a bad habit of going on with issues but thank you for all your help !
