MKS DLC32 Limit switch problem

Hello. I wanted to add a limit switch to my MKS DLC32 v2.1 card to use it in lightburn. But no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t use the black switch in the picture. The laser head still continued to work. (Shouldn’t it stop when I hold down the switch?) Should I make a setting in the DLC32 parameters or in lightburn? Or should I use the red switch. (I noticed that the cables got very hot while testing the black switch. So I didn’t want to test the switch without being sure anymore)

…and yes, you have to enable the limit switches in the MKS DLC32 config. By default they are disabled.

If the cables got hot, you created a short. You can use them, if you wired them correctly. Usually, You connect between signal and ground. Ignore VCC line. See some additional documentation here:
