Modify the default values of layers

hello is it possible to modify the default values of layers 00, 01, 02…?

The default settings should stick after you’ve set them and saved the first project.

Also the Materials Library is a good place to store default settings for various materials for your machine.

I’m reviewing this:

2 steps:

1. Set the parameter you want in the Cut Settings Editor for that layer
2. Push Make Default at the bottom of that window. Optionally, push Make Default for All if you want to use those same settings for all layers.

thank you for your answer that’s what I do but when I open a new project they come back as original.

They will retain the previously used settings unless you “Reset to Default”.

Alternatively you can have LightBurn reset to default every time you start a new file or restart LightBurn by enabling “Load default layer settings on new or restart” in Settings->File Settings.
