Monport 45 non pro LightBurn can find laser

Hi guys.

I am having massive difficulties in getting my new monport Reno 45 non pro model.

I have installed the driver (ch341ser.exe) that was provided on the thumb drive with the machine.

I have checked the com port in both LightBurn and device manager and still have no luck. Changed baudrate to different values and now I am completely lost on how to get it to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention that I can’t get LightBurn core version to see the laser even after installing the driver

Have you tried to create the Device type using the Manual mode? It is easy and fast.

Does Windows make a tone sound when you connect and unconnect the laser? If not, there is no way Lightburn can see it.

Hi. Yes I have created manually and it does make a sound when connecting via usb. Also, the device is shown in windows device manager under the ports section when it’s connected.

Monport told me to change the baudrate in LightBurn but it doesn’t show under the basic device settings in 2.0.05 unlike the previous versions where it was above the buffered drop down menu.

V2.0.0 they switched the laser control stuff to the Laser Tools window. Look for Device Settings, Basic Settings tab.

So I’ve checked and the baudrate is not there under basic settings. I’ve checked and baudrate is on there is you choose the grbl option for device and not grbl-lpc. I’ve tried everything and cannot get the Reno to be seen in lightburn.

Any other ideas?

It should be in the lower right corner. What did they tell you to change it to?

Just use GRBL without any added letters.

In the Windows Settings window, exactly what did it say on that COM port line?
