Monport GM 30w MOPA isn't displaying a frame

I have tried to follow the ridiculous instructions from Monport for setting up my laser with my MacBook Pro. I’m able to get Lightburn to recognize the laser and it says connected. I drew a square in the middle of the screen and then clicked Frame, but there is nothing being projected. I’ve read a couple posts about the 60w version, and changed my settings accordingly, but still no frame. I’ve reset to what Monport’s video (which was done on Lightburn 1.7), and I’m not sure where to go from here. Their BSL software only works on Windows and they said I can only use Lightburn for a Mac.

The red dot offsets came from the plate stuck to the side of the laser, which says Parameter for Lightburn. Printing actually says: “Offset PosX: -0. 400mm Offset. PosY: -0. 400mm. Size ScaleX: 1. 010. Size ScaleY: 1. 013.

There’s no explanation as to what to do with this data, and the only place it seemed to fit was in the parameter for red dot.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Erik

I don’t have the Monport but the setting ”red dot always on” is checked in my setup.

Thanks. I checked the box for always on, but still no frame. I’m wondering if the offset data should be ignored.

Ok, I’m not sure what I did, but now the laser is drawing a frame box. Sorry. This is my first laser and the first time I’ve tried to use Lightburn.
