Here we go again. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out! I KNOW there’s a simple way to do it because I’ve done it accidentally before.
I have 3 words in a box. I want to edit two of the letters. I’m getting REALLY tired of putting every letter on a different layer, then having to go back and reposition them. I want to simply separate the letters from one another so I can tweak individual lines and arcs. When I select the 3 words, I can’t ungroup them. The button is greyed out and not active. I’ve been through the forum, I’ve spent WAY too much time watching videos. I’ve spent most of my day trying to perform a function that should take about 3-5 seconds. Can someone PLEASE explain this to me and not just post a link to the documentation?
This function converts a text object to a set of line segments, forming a path. How would you call that differently? Once you got used the nomenclature of vector editing, this will be the best fitting term you can think of In a few weeks, this will become all natural for you
