Moved laser locations and added computer

I have many issues going on and not sure where to start.
I just opened a storefront and moved my Mira 7 to the new location (Mira 9 will be later). With moving Mira 7 my lightburn bridge is giving me difficulty switching over to the locations new wifi. I can see the bridge on the list of wifi options which is named Mira 7 but when i check the lightburn bridge website page This site can’t be reached

192.168.42.1 took too long to respond.

Try:

I also got a new laptop and have added lightburn to it. I found my Mira 7 device via usb cord so I can at least get some work done. Now Mira 7 is my rotary only machine. Do I choose front right for origin? Also I see that my old lightburn software may have had some settings that I changed from factory that my new one now needs to be adjusted. Is there any easy way to adjust them or find out what they are?

Next, I lost my files on a big project that I have due. (that’s my luck) I was able to pull up the design and trace it but for some reason it will not fill. why could this be? i was hoping that even with the bridge down i could work via usb but now I’m not so sure.

Unfortunately, another bump in the road is that I have zero clue about a lot of computer lingo. So if I’m needed to look at something or find something. PLEASE DON’T ASSUME I KNOW HOW. Walk me thru like an elderly or child. step by step is golden.

Take off the issue about not getting image to fill. GOT IT!!!

I’d follow these directions to see if you can connect again. When I ran one for a bit I found the bridge WIFI was still broadcasting even when it was connected.

This is what I’ve tried and it doesn’t get me far.

Is it on the right IP? I believe the bridge gets an IP from your router. Do you have the PI Mac address bound to the PIs IP?

If not, sometimes the router will assign it another IP… If the Device has the wrong IP it won’t talk.

If you power off the PI does the address go away? If not there might be another device with the Pis IP.

There are tools for scanning your network, can use scan your network and see what’s there?

:smile_cat:

In windows,

-Open the windows button. Type “CMD”
-The command prompt should be available to select.
-Once that’s open type “ipconfig/all” This should show you basic network info.
-Type “arp -a” this should show you all the IP address active on your network. The bridge should be one of the dynamic ones if it’s connected.

For the origin. Look inside the machine. Find the 2 limit switches on the X and Y axis. If they are located on the back rail and the right rail your origin will be back right.
