Moving laser to location defined by G-code program

I’m not sure what category this should be in, so apologies ahead of time.
I have a graphic of a side of a tower, with cut-outs for girders, etc.
I thought I had selected everything, but instead only the outside. After the outline had been cut, the job had moved so I couldn’t just select the inside bits and start again. I want to move the laser head back to the uncut parts to complete the job.
I’m using Lightburn with a Sculpfun S6 Pro with air assist.
I’m lacking understanding on how to position the laser over an X-Y lateral position.
Can I ask here for help?

3 suggestions:

  1. You can move to an exact position in the Move window. “Move to position” fields.
  2. If the work piece has moved, Print and Cut is an advanced way of realigning your design to a partially burnded wokr piece.
  3. May be too late for what you’re doing but if you go through a proper homing process when you start your machine and use Absolute Coords you would be able to count on being able to have a reliable reference starting point. Your machine likely didn’t come with limit switches to allow for automated homing but you can largely get close by going through a manual homing process.

Thank you for your reply, Berainlb.
I will try to get the laser to point to the start, but that means I need to tell the controller just where that is; I will experiment with that.
I’m unfamiliar with Print and Cut - I’ll chase that one up.
Since I’m not doing production work, I don’t have homing switches: I want the machine to run from where I set the head. I usually have a reference point somewhere so I can continue from a power supply cut. In this case, I did not set a reference, but I want to use the already cut part to tell the controller where the head is.
Thanks again for your input - you have given me some clues to progress from.
