Is it possible to move the Sculpfun S9 without connected laser. Or what should I do with the 3pin cable to the laser, so that the x- and y-axis can be controlled?
Is there also a circuit diagram for the electric? Or how is the signal (Voltage/Electricity), that turns the laser on and off?

Of course, you can control the mechanics if the laser head is disconnected. Then everything will work, except the laser won’t fire.
The laser is controlled by three wires, +12V / +24V (depending on model), GND and SIGNAL. The signal wire uses a 5V PWM signal to drive the laser power.
