I have finally gotten to a point that I am comfortable enough to take some picts after the great fire of last? month. It is constructed of .25 Alum composite material [ACM] which is used for signboard in our shop now days- started with .5" MDO [medium density overlay plywood 30 years ago- this is much better and lighter. The top and bottom layer are alum and the center is either corrugated [which I used] or solid plastic. I cobbled up a GT2 timing belt system to raise/lower the lense. Here are some picts [I hope] and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks Gene OK- I cannot remember how I did this before- I have long covid and apparently this is one of my confusion days- I will try to figure out how to post my picts, I hope.
The links need to allow anyone with the link to read them.
So none of your photos are visible.
I changed them to share to anyone- do I need to relink them? Thanks
Don’t link them, upload them and they will appear in the message. You have to wait for the file to completely upload before closing the dialog box.
You can drag and drop the photo or use the upload button.
Thank you very much. It is frustrating to not be able to remember how to do something you have done before. Some days different parts of my brain functions better [or less better] than other days. Fortunately I can still do computer and program functions so if I can do nothing else I can sit and design and 3d print and laser cut if all else fails me.
Looks like a well made and well thought out enclosure.
Considering that I had no idea what I needed the enclosure to do, I was fortunate to get fairly close to what I needed. And the fire gave me a chance to fix the things that I did not forsee. The framing is 8020 10 series BTW- I am consumer of 8020 and similar extrusions and have built a lot of stuff from it. Gene
