My Engravings ar Squished at the bottom

I am engraving some aluminum business cards and no matter what the orientation of the image, the line of text at the bottom of the card gets squished. You can see that the email at the bottom of the copper colored one is much smaller, however in the image it is the same font size.

I am using an Elegoo Phecda.

Any Ideas?

I don’t know the cause of the compressed text.

Were you engraving top to bottom on the card or bottom to top?

If it is a Mechanical problem, it’s good to discover things like that, so I’d prefer to let your post remain for a while if that’s ok with you. If and when you confirm that it is a mechanical issue it’s still worth sharing. Please let us know when you know or when you have a solution.

I’ll also add this message to your current thread. I might block out your contact email. It’s best to not post contact information in a public forum.

It was engraving bottom to top. It doesn’t matter the orientation of the image, it always squishes the bottom.

This is likely backlash. There is a little bit of inherent looseness in the engraver and it shows up when you reverse direction.

When starting this job, does the engrave head move toward the bottom of the card from above the start point?

Are you doing a framing operation [Frame] that travels toward the start point from above in its last couple of moves?

What happens if you engrave from top to bottom?

If addressing or removing the change in direction doesn’t solve this it could be ‘mechanical binding’ and we can look at that next.
