My imagine is not burning correctly

Hi my image is not burning correctly. It starts to work but then it starts burning in a totally wrong place. Any idea why? Here is a picture of the burn (I stop before it finishes) and here is a picture of what it’s supposed to burn.

I have it set to fill. 1500 speed 80 power interval (mm) .100 and GRBL

I Did a test burn on another file and it worked perfect. I’m not sure what the problem is. Any ideas ?
Thanks

What are the units for this value?

Seems to me you’re missing steps somewhere. This could be from the speed setting being too high or a mechanical issue.

My first guess would be that your belts are loose. Review them to make sure they’re properly tensioned. They should be taught with no slack, but not stretched.

Also, check that the pinions are well secured to the stepper shafts.

I believe 1500 mm/min

I normally laser engrave that speed and there are no problems.
Also the belts seem fine, tight but not stretched, and the pinions are secured well too.
I can’t figure out what the deal is at all.

You may want to confirm. 1500 mm/min is fine. But if for some reason you were running at 1500 mm/s that would be a totally different thing.

Do you get the same burn every time you run this?

It’s not the exact same every time. Sometimes that line that is on the left, goes over all the way to the other side. It doesn’t start messing up at the same spot every time either.

In that case this still very much sounds like a missing steps issue. Do you hear a buzzing noise from the stepper motors at this time? Any other indications that things are not progressingly normally?

Thanks for taking the time. No it seems normal. As mentioned I did burned another monogram just to test it out and it worked fine. There weren’t as many sharp angles in it (not sure if that matters) but it burned it perfectly with the same settings

Odd. Can you take a screenshot of the Preview? I assume it’s a typical scanning operation but would like to confirm.
