Hello dears,
So i used lightburn for almost 1.5 years now, latest use is before 3 days. Today, i lost connection, cannot connect my laser ATOMSTACK A10 PRO whatsoever, i also bought new usb cable, reinstalled lightburn, changed the port to another one not being used…
I am running lightburn v1.2.04 (as it is the final version before my license get expired).
I cannot find my laser by the search method, i do have to create it manually for some reason. I used lasergrbl software to test, it works just fine…
Where/what else should i troubleshoot now ?
Unfortunately not, it doesn’t home.
The OS does recognize the machine, indeed, lasergrbl software recognize it and can run the machine with it with 0 issues.
On the console, i get this message when right-click devices button:
I would make sure you did not disable it by mistake
$RST=* in console
Also make sure your power adapter is actually giving the machine 24v (or 12v)
USB 5v will power the motherboard, but will NOT power the steppers obviously
So by having comes with the machine does not Meah the machine is powered.
This command will reset things to default
Lightburn license does not expire
If LaserGrbl works and Lightburn doesn’t is a configuratin issue
However
a) Does your machine normally home?
if it does, and isnt now, you have hardware issues that preceed software
b) when you say LASERGBRL work, can you do full engraves?
c) What device you configured in Lightburn GRBL (top of the list?) make sure is not LPC or M3
d) what version of lightburn?
To be clear about your license: you pay for it once, and as long as you do not want upgrades, it will still work.
There also may come a time when an OS update messes with Lightburn operation, then you may need to buy an upgrade to the license so a new Lightburn version will work with the Windows/Mac update.
Kraken communicates via USB bus, but should not interfere with serial ports.
Unless if by ejecting it it it allowed the drivers of the machine to kick in
reboot computer just to be sure the problem is fixed 100%
