My laser cut lines messed up

Hi,
Thankyou for taking your time to view this. I have problem with my laser. I am using 10w diode laser. It seems when I try to cut or engrave, especially rounded

my object seems to be shrinking. I think problem is with the y axis. I tried tightening the y axis belt. Result still the same. Do any of you know what could be the problem? Much appreciated

Check that your pinion gear is properly secured to the stepper shaft.
