My laser stopped moving

Good day. I am new to laser engraving. I purchased this woxcker L2 10 watt laser and was able to get it to work once or twice, though I cannot figure out how to place the items I want to engrave and line them up properly.
The issue I am having now is that the laser head wants to come down and to the left. When it reaches the farthest down and left area it hits and stops but sounds like the track wants to keep going for another 2-3 seconds. Then I cannot move the laser and get a message that the laser may be paused or is busy. I cannot figure this out. Terribly frustrated. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not familiar with that machine. First question, does it have limit switches? If it doesn’t, you cannot use the homing cycle. It will act exactly as you describe. Disable auto home on startup in Lightburn. Then wherever your laser head is on startup will be your origin position. Typically you want to place it in the left front corner before power on.

If it does have limit switches you need to verify their operation. Move the laser to the opposite corner and start a home cycle. Press each switch and the laser should stop movement in that direction. If it stops, you need to verify that the gantry is actually engaging the switches and you may need to adjust them so it does.

If pressing the switches does not stop movement contact the seller.
