Win I send a print to my omtech for etching, the laser and push frame. The laser just frames the whole bed. It did work. then it got stuck on a print job. We cleared that one out and now it does this.
I can’t believe I said that so bad. Sorry. Very mad. First, it had a jam and could not print anything. All I got was an error message. Then after we cleared that out. We have a new problem. When you send something to the laser and tell it to frame. It just outlined the whole work bed. It will not frame the print job.
Are you selecting the job from the file list on the laser, or just clicking Frame from LightBurn itself?
Job. I send the job and then frame to see what it shows. It just outlines the bed.
Does this happen with something simple, like a drawn rectangle?
With anything. Even something small.
I would reset the controller (power it off and on), then go to the File menu in the controller itself, use the arrows to select ‘Other+’ then press Enter. From there, choose ‘Format’. You will lose the files in your controller, but not the settings. It’s possible that something in the memory storage is corrupt, and the controller is behaving oddly as a result.
If that doesn’t work, I’d try re-applying a machine settings backup if you have one.
I will try the first part tomorrow. The second part I don’t have.
Email OmTech. They might be able to send it to you.
Thanks. I am going to try what the Lightburn staff said to try tomorrow. I have sent an emaiI to Omtech. So I will see. If anyone else has ideas please let me know.
Well that did not work. So I will have to wait for omtech.
I want to thank everyone that tried to help me. I never did get anything from Omtech. But I was able to go on line and get my answers, Had 2 problems that apparently happen with this control board. Now if I can find out why my pics are scattered back and forth, I can move on.
Thanks again
What was the fix?
Reset parameters and shut off the unit. Then unplugged it. After a day I started it up and it worked. The first time I did that it did not work. So I thought of it as a computer. So I turned it off and unplugged it this time. As for the print error. It was trying to start in the back corner. So when I moved it and set it away from the corner. As for the scattered print problem. I cleared all the old print jobs out of it and you guessed it. Turned it off and unplugged it. It did not work the first time. Then I did it again and turned it off. Hope this helps. LOL My problems are reading like a book. Long and short. I started treating it like a computer.
