The speed parameter appears to have a max of 5000.

I honestly don’t know.
I assume, unless it is a mistake, that the manufacturer has set the parameters quite conservatively, to protect the machine.
Just found something similar about a diode laser which (due to the weight of the diode head) is limited in max speed to 6000mm/min.
But ask Cloudray, they seem to be reasonably responsive.
Ps. remember to use the measurement units, it makes the conversation easier and eliminates misunderstanding.

Open your device settings window, and look at the bottom left of the first settings tab (Galvo and Basic Settings).
What is the Max Speed value set to there? You’re free to change it if you think the machine is capable of faster.
