I am running the most current version of LightBurn on an HP Pavillion with core I3. My laser is a Tyvok Spider X1S.with MKS DLC32 controller. Any attempt to burn results in this.“ALARM:8
Homing fail. Cycle failed to clear limit switch when pulling off. Try increasing pull-off setting or check wiring.”.
On initial startup it wants to home lower right and will keep going unless it is physically turned off.
This is because Tyvok has made a custom homing procedure in their controller that has to be ran from the LCD. Since there is no Y limit switch on the machine, they call Y’s current position ‘Home’ for Y, then will seek home out with the X axis.
Unfortunately, there is no way to do this from Lightburn. You must home the machine manually from the home button on the LCD. After that, the machine will act as you expect and run jobs properly.
