I am using an Xtool D1 o a new iMac. When I set up a project I wanna preview it looks good looks good on the screen but when it in braids it comes out as a mirror image. I know there must be a setting somewhere but I haven’t found it.

Please show us what “mirror” means in this context. 
And when you say “image”, is that vector art or a photograph / raster - bitmap art?
You can see that one photo is off the Computer screen and the other is on a piece of wood. The one on the word is the mirror image of the screen
Your machine origin in Device Settings is likely setup incorrectly for your laser.
Check Edit->Device Settings and make sure Origin is set to top-left.
