I’m creating a cutting template in Lightburn (importing dfx). After the job is actually (!) complete and the laser head is switched off and returns to its home position, it switches to full power and cuts across the created component. This cut is neither part of the template nor is its origin clear. The only solution is an emergency stop after completion. Does anyone have any idea where the “final cut” is coming from and how to prevent it? I’m using Lightburn with a Snapmaker Artisan Premium and a 40W diode laser.
My (not necessarily competent) guess is that it is part of your import. I have seen something similar where people try to “protect” their files. If you have purchased the file, this should not happen. You can try cutting a part out of the project, save it and see what happens to this piece when you engrave/cut it.
If it is possible for you, you can also upload the entire file here for inspection.

First of all, thank you for your replies. I’m having some trouble accessing the forum at the moment, so please excuse my late comments. I couldn’t find any other solution than to completely remove the Artisan from Lightburn and create a new one. After that, all jobs ran normally. (I’m also ignoring the file protection at this point, as I created the dfx myself in Inventor.) There was nothing in the file that would indicate a cut at that point. The G-code, as far as I know, didn’t show any abnormalities either. So, the problem was solved after reinstalling and setting up again. Thank you for your help.
