I’ve been using my 110 lens on my 50w JPT fiber. Really like it. Was struggling with removing the powder coat on this particular blue, so I figure, heck let’s throw my 200 on it.
Steps per rotation is 12800 on this rotary. I tried to create a 10mm x 10mm square, and I get this crap. Those 2 silver blocks is what it did. The circumference is 85.3mm on this tumbler. It’s the only tumblers I use.
Did I change a tick mark somewhere and didn’t know it. It’s engraving using the Y axis like like the 110 was doing…
I’m lost at the moment… All I’ve done is change the lens to one with a wider field and deeper focal point.
Yeah, I loaded EZcad and copied the file for each lens over when I created the appropriate laser with it’s lens, and have them identified in the name. The thumbdrive came with 2 folders on it, representing the lens size. What has me scratching my head is I didn’t do any configuration for the 110. I slapped it on, selected the appropriate laser name based on the size lens I have on it, found the sweet spot using a aluminum biz card, documented the height for the lens, and done.
I tried the lens once on a coke can cradled similar to a vid I saw, and used LB cylinder correction. That was one time. Yesterday, was the 2nd time I tried this lens out, except it was on the rotary.
My diameter of the tumbler changed within LB, and I didn’t notice it.
I ran it with the 300 lens on it yesterday evening an it was marking 10x10mm squares and letters with no problem.
