Hello I am looking for an adhesive film to replace the paper masking tape to paint my creations, the painter’s tape that I took on water, leaves traces to the cut and the cut is not as precise as I hope?
As you can see on the photo, some places it’s impecable and others it’s a disaster!
Which film to use?
-PVC-free vinyl?
-fart?
It has to be as economical as possible!
Thank you for your help
I don’t know if it works in this case, but there is painters masking tape (also called frog tape) that is made especially for room painting. It’s made to reduce the bleeding of colors into each other. I don’t know if it works on mirrors as well. But maybe worth to try since it’s comparably cheap, I guess.
Thank you but I already use paper painting tape but it’s not great, I don’t need a vinyl film anymore but it’s toxic and damages the machines.
But did you try something special like the frog tape? There should be a difference to normal paper painting tape. At least that’s what the advertisement suggests, and many people use it (But I have no experience with mirrors and engravings).
I also use vinyl, but I cut it with a plotter. I guess a small machine might be cheap (I don’t know), so depending on your workload, it might be worth a look. Though also with vinyl, I sometimes have at least some defects in the material, so I guess it won’t get absolutely perfect using it.
thx i’ll try it!
