I’m running Windows 7 (32-bit) and have a valid LightBurn license with Galvo support. I’ve installed LightBurn v1.2.01 (32-bit) from the release archive, but the software does not show the Galvo option when I go to Devices → Create Manually.
There is also no devices folder in my install directory (C:\Program Files\LightBurn), and it appears the Galvo modules/DLLs were not included with the installer I used.
Could someone please provide:
A working 32-bit build of v1.2.01 that includes Galvo support, or
Just the required GalvoDevices.dll and any other related plugin files so I can manually place them in the install directory?
Thanks in advance — I’ve been stuck on this for a while and really appreciate any help.
Unfortunately, I think that Galvo for LightBurn was not “invented” at this time in this old version and I also can’t imagine that a 32 bit galvo “module” will be made for Windows 7.
But, let’s hear what LB staff has to say about it.
This is the kind of stuff AI is good at… Here is the response.
LightBurn added support for galvo lasers in version 1.2.00, which was released on June 30, 2022. This version allows users to work with devices that connect via USB and are compatible with EzCad2 or EzCad2 Lite software.
A dll is a dynamic load library, as far as I know there is no ability for plugins.
I would think it would install whatever it needs to run. Maybe @gilaraujo has an answer for us.
Funny you should mention AI. I was actually using ChatGPT to find out why my Galvo wasn’t connecting, and it ultimately lead me to the support forum to ask for the .dll files. My first question/post was actually suggested by AI.
