You have more than likely selected an incorrect device during it’s setup…

What device did you select? I thought these had a configuration file available for these machine…?

:smile_cat:

Ortur Laser Master 3 Ready! See below it runs for a while and stops and below is what it shows. I double checked the device it is connected to the right one

OLF:206.

OLH:OLM_ESP_PRO_V2.4B.

OLM:GENERAL.

GrblHAL 1.1f [‘$’ or ‘$HELP’

this is quite a old firmware, very old in fact
Latest is 210
you might need to do
206 - > 207
Then 207 - 210

Source files can be found here
210 DOWNLOAD LINK (23-02-2023)

207 RC0 DOWNLOAD LINK (21-10-2022)

Not sure what to do here Ive downloaded the links. I am a beginner.

Instructions

Download and unzip this file please
210 DOWNLOAD LINK

Extract zip file into desktop.
Inside it, you will see a ESP_OLM3_2010.bin file

Now with your machine connected via USB to your computer.
Tap the reset button once to turn off your ORTUR

Then do this sequence carefully:

PRESS and hold the reset button on the back of the motherboard. Do not release
Count 3 seconds
PRESS also and hold the power button. Do not release
Count to 3 seconds
Release Reset Button
Count 1 second
Release Power Button

Now your computer will show an ORTUR UPDATE drive – almost as if you had inserted a USB thumb drive
Copy the bin file we extracted earlier into the drive and allow the machine to do its update operation
It will take 30-60 seconds and the machine will home again

Reconnect to LightBurn or LaserGRBL – in the console type where it says (Type commands here) or (Type GCode here)
$RST=*
The machine will respond with
[MSG: restoring defaults]

At this point, you should be ready to use the device.
Note: your wifi settings if you had them will need to be done again

Thanks I’ll give it a go.

What program will open file for down load?

The downloaded files are zip files
Windows explorer allows you to unxzip them

From inside you need just to move the .bin files into the machine when in firmware mode

Sorry for being such a pain, I did get it downloaded and running it now. I’ll let you know. Thanks

This is what Im getting now

ok

Starting stream

Layer C00 Pass 1 of 2

It stops and the light goes blue on the machine. the busy timer is still running. it ran about a third of the way on the project.

you are still on 206, you need to be on 210

When you go through the update process, ORTUR drive apears correct, and you copied first 207 firmware file and let it update
THen done 210?
