This is what I was curious about. I’m not sure how to correct this issue. As you can see in the photos, it’s quite different from the desired outcome. I’m not sure which setting to change. I’ve already adjusted the power from 47 to 30, and the speed remains at 1800. However, the neck area and face are turning out extremely dark. Additionally, the adjusted image doesn’t match the preview. Nore the final out come
In Adjust Image setting you need to play with adjusting contrast setting.

The preview shows you where the laser will fire… there is no way for it to be able to tell what it’s going to do if anything… it’s a great tool once you understand it…
I’ve not done much better, dpi wise, than 60dpi, wood is one of those that are hard to guess. I think yours is too high…
I’d suggest the Laser Everything video on photo engraving… it is well worth your time and will pay dividends forever… at least while you lase.
You have also picked one of the toughest processes to do with a laser…

That’s what I keep telling my dad—photos are one of the hardest things to do, but he seems to think I can just throw a piece down and all I have to do is adjust the speed and power, and I’ll be good
