I’ve already adjusted the power from 47 to 30, and the speed remains at 1800. However, the neck area and face are turning out extremely dark. The preview shows you where the laser will fire… there is no way for it to be able to tell what it’s going to do if anything… it’s a great tool once you understand it…
I’ve not done much better, dpi wise, than 60dpi, wood is one of those that are hard to guess. I think yours is too high…
I’d suggest the Laser Everything video on photo engraving… it is well worth your time and will pay dividends forever… at least while you lase.

That’s what I keep telling my dad—photos are one of the hardest things to do, but he seems to think I can just throw a piece down and all I have to do is adjust the speed and power, and I’ll be good .
