Sorry for this question but I’m giving up on trying to solve the problem myself. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Neje 4 max e80 on a MacBook Pro with M1 chip set. running sanoma 14 1.1 also GRBL 1.1f
Homing is smooth and operational. After that any movement on the laser no mater where directed just goes forward vibrating and noisy into the rail front left corner. I can send it home fine then if directed down the x axis it runs down the y the same.
I moved it around yesterday a bit but was challenged it would not keep its position constantly. I’ve read enough forums and tried many different things from others and Lightburn docs I think I made it worse. I tried G10 negative space suggestion didn’t help. $13=0 didn’t help. Baud rate is as recommended 115,200 and so on. I can only get limited communication from Neje forum support they say it’s software issue. I like light burn the free trial is down to 3 days and I need help haven’t got to use it yet. Spent the whole 30 days dealing with Neje about a bent frame and broken wire now replaced I can’t run it yet.
Please help if you can, or show me where I might get someone’s settings I can copy. I really wan’t to buy the license but not sure I should yet.
Where is your home set? Do the jog controls work? Have you set your workspace dimensions?
With it homed in your move window get position what is it reporting for X and Y?
Hi
my home is front left although i’ve tried them all. yes the jog seems to work although if I push left it goes right and vise versa. although the z axis works great. yes works space is x=750 y=480 but one time while it was sent home to the back left I got position reading of 750 x 980 thats when my mind started spinning. My $$ settings confirm the correct dimensions.
Sorry need to clarify an answer I gave earlier. my home is set at left rear for the limit switch configuration. though my ORIGIN is front left as recommended.
