When lightburn starts and is running I don’t get a choice for this laser module which I am using on a Sainsmart 3018 Prover cnc How do I set it up?

Are you starting from a blank slate? As-in you’ve never configured your Sainsmart with LightBurn? Or you’re just switching out the laser module?
If starting from nothing then take a look here:

LightBurn communicates with the controller, not to the laser module so there’s really no selection process in LightBurn for the laser module.
You’ll likely need to revisit all your assumed power settings based on the new laser but should otherwise work similarly.

As @berainlb points out, the only affect this will have will be in your material settings. If you use the material library (which is quite handy), then you can save your current one using the old module name, then save it again, adding the new module name to the library name. This way, new settings can be saved, but you can easily go back to your old settings if you switch back to the other module.
