I have a NEJE max4 , I’ve seen numerous videos of folks running the optional ball point pin. Is there special programming necessary to have the z axis raise between letters or line segments in a drawing.
I do not think they are doing this with Lightburn, which is a 2D application at this time. Except in a special situation, there is no Zaxis programming capability.
What might be happening is the Pen up-down control is done by the laser on-off commands. You might find out how they do it using Google.
Thanks, I’m finding that you have to design and program in other software. Once you have created gcode it will run in lightburn.
Sounds like you are using Lightburn as a Gcode Sender. I think the latest 1.5.00 release may have some features to help, so you can design in Lightburn.
You can do it directly from lightburn. I think you need to disable z travel optimisation and set offset to 2-3mm
