I understand that the JCZ boards are the most popular for galvo devices. I’m trying out a new board for a custom build, primarily for packaging constraints. I suspect it may be a JCZ clone but time will tell! I’m going to use this thread to document my adventures in getting the RKQ-LM-441 board up and running.
Now worries, have the manuals already. got it direct from their site, it’s also on rsd-laser. It’s native software is RK-CAD, which looks interesting, however certain license components are $$$. My aim is to add board support to galvoplotter for it.
That’s part of the appeal, lol. RKCad looks pretty interesting; lost of features for automation, db integration etc. Lotta random fancy licensable features too. Can’t find a pricelist anywhere . Took me while to find which button to press to switch to English. There are built in debug tools as well, so I think it should be pretty easy to dump/figure out the protocol it speaks to the controller with, but can’t do that until it actually arrives.
Thanks. RTK Software is reliable and can do everything ? I need a controller able to do inner carving in crystal glass with a 2Dgalvo and Motorized Z axis.
I also found BSL board but difficult to obtain information.
The license for RKCAD inner carving is $800-1000 US; I believe that KeysoCAD is a reskin or RKCAD, and Rocksolid laser also user RK-CAD for their AphexRay HD. I’ve redirected my efforts to writing software to use a JCZ board using the roatary axis as a Z axis driver, based on the excellent work done by galvoplotter. It’s Carnical at the moment where I am, so will be back at it next week some time when I sober up!
It is very expensive
Most AliExpress seller say there system do 3d inner carving with a bjjcz board and ezcad 2 but no one can fully demonstrated how they do that .
I will have a look on the project you referring to. Thanks
