Got myself New Genmitsu CNC 3018-PRO Ver V2 (TODAY) doesnt seem i am getting enough speed 2 motors I have unattached the threaded rod from my motor and it makes the same noise like its struggling to go round I have looked at all the settings but they mean little to a man of my Standings in this game
It is running the commands Just need this little problem-solving by the professionals .
The 3018 Pro CNC with Laser option is a screw machine and is not capable of high velocities. The screws mean high torque, so the steppers will sound the same hooked up or not.
What you hear is the stepper noise produced by the power switching to the motors. This is not a quiet machine. When I high-speed (relatively speaking) jog the table, it makes a very distinct whine noise. While my 3018 Pro max speed is 2000mm/min, my belt drive S30 is 6000 and the SF-A9 is 20,000mm/min.
Why do you think there is something wrong with your machine?
Its just not right i have never heard anything like it I will send u a video of the noise if it lets me never heard anything like it ,I don’t think its the machine it was working A1 its just with the New Board just at moment 1 problem after the other…
it wont let me post a video
No, you have to put it on YouTube or Google Docs shared. There are other places too.
New machine or a replacement board? Makes a big difference.
Problems best solved one at a time.
Mikey this is me Balsa wood ben I Cant log into Balswood ben this is my old one NBame it just came back digging my old password books out ,Its the same machine just a new control board its 3018pro so I cant see why ?
New board means setting all the GRBL parameters the same as the old board. Otherwise you get one problem after another. Do you have a copy of the old parameters.
When I replaced my controller board (USB connector broke off), I did run into having to change the direction control parameters. If I had used the Lightburn Device Settings window, it would have been much easier.
Again, do you have the GRBL parameters from the old board?
No somebody to told me to change a few things be new to changes didn’t read properly that i could have saved them and gone back when bought the machine as a kit it worked without changing that is why i have reset everything im just to look to see whats happened keep getting knocks on my door .
I agree, that is not what mine sounds like.
I am convinced it is a parameter issue. I am pretty sure you can get the parameters from Sainsmart’s site. It is a Sainsmart machine?
Decided to look through some storage boxes as im moving soon and i found some old cables hey presto works or i say one did tried on X and Y runs smooth again i have to make second cable, so thinking i have 3 different type of coloured cable probably a lesson for myself Thanks a lot
That is a win, good news!
