New laser power meter

Hey all! I just got this meter delivered today!
I tried it a couple times and don’t understand what the readings mean. I’m trying to test my 100 watt co2 tube and I’m a little confused. For example, a reading before my third mirror is saying 20.3….20.3 what?? Amps, watts??
I had my power set to 65% and my analog ammeter was saying around 24amps.

Most of the text is Chinese… a link would be good so we don’t have to hunt it down on our own.

Did you get a manual you can read?

I think you mean 24mA?

What is the Ruida maximum laser power set to within the controller?

Might want to test at 50% pwm and double it… this will at least keep you running at high power just to figure out the wattmeter issue. It’s easier to multiply by two rather than 1.538…

I was advised from a reliable source that it’s power reading is pretty close at 50% and it saves lots of wear and tear on the tube from just testing.

Good luck

I was hoping someone had the same unit and knew more about it. There’s very little info in the instructions. I did mean 24Ma, yes. I basically tried a quick test to see what was what. I know my Reci W4 recommends not exceeding 26Ma. I do have an analog Ammeter installed so I set my power to just under max and was expecting to get a reading of around 80-90 watts…not the case.
I will play around and check the readings at the tube and after the 3 mirrors.
I have never calibrated my power supply, but I know that a max power setting of around 70% will give my an output of 26Ma (max recommended for the tube). I think it will be a great tool once wrap my head around it. I have read that even though your mirrors appear in good condition, they may not be. This tool will give me a lot in info and I’m excited to play around with it some more! Thanks for the reply!

Do you understand the pwm measurement?

When you measure a 50% pwm (ttl-5V) you’ll read about 2.5V? … make sense?

Do you have a link to this meter? I’d like to acquire one for testing.

Have a gander…

There are instruction on how to use it there
