New powerblock same settings as beofre, but getting very different results

I have an Ortur LM3 diode. I have just updated it to the latest firmware. I have an Acer laptop running windows and use Lightburn
I have been engraving on slate. My power block died so I replaced it. I haven’t changed my settings (they are the same as on my old laptop) but my engravings are very raised. Settings were 300mm/m and power of 95%. I can’t remember how long it took to do one word before, but it now takes 4mins for the word “Dill” approx 1cm tall.
I upped speed to 500mm/mm and dropped power to 80 - but the engraving is still raised.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did they resolve it.
Thank you

Is this the power supply or the laser module?

Always migrate all the settings from the old laptop to the new laptop to ensure you haven’t missed something subtle:

The new laptop may be using different units for the machine speed than the old one:

https://docs.lightburnsoftware.com/2.1/Reference/DeviceSettings/DimensionsUnits/#control-units

Those can now be different than the design units used in the workspace:
