Why is i now that yo have to payfor new features and upgade to pro versions
For someone that uses 1 type of laser i do not need galvo and other laser
What exactly do you mean by “now”?
There was always a fee to pay for another year of updates. With buying a licence you get one year of updates, after that you can buy another year or freeze the version you have. The licence itself is perpetual, the updates are not (and have never been).
Since you have a GRBL laser, you don´t need to buy the pro licence. You can do, but there is no benefit for you to do so due there are no additional functions in the pro version you can use.
In fact, there are additional functions, but only for Galvo and DSP/Ruida controllers but not for GRBL.

They gave a short explanation here. It looks like it’s only the quick nest feature that requires a Pro License.
With nesting you are right, my apologies, I was wrong.
However, it´s already explained in the changelog why it´s for pro only.
BTW: I have done a quick test and I think there is still space for improvement. My little christmas tree which I have optimized for my 410x410mm bed isn´t nested in same way I do manually (yes I have the pro version, even if I use only a GRBL laser by now).
It may work for regular forms, but as I see it, irregular shapes like a christmas tree aren´t optimized very well by now.

That is the difference between Artificial intelligence and Real intelligence. For those that need/want Nesting, there are online solutions for us Core version users. But it likely has issues with complex shapes as well.
